The only things I found myself making often were shield recharge items and bypass chips, the rest is only of use when you want to upgrade or repair your ship. CraftingThe crafting system is very simplistic relying on blueprints to learn the recipe then you can craft the item just by clicking a free inventory slot and picking from a list of known craftables.
There are billions of planets but they are all just the same old hot/cold/radioactive environments with a slightly different landscape. Then you start to notice how all the prefab buildings are exactly the same, with the same copy pasted puzzles to solve. My 96 hours in No Man's Sky InroThe first few hours were great, fixing my ship on the starting planet, figuring out the uses for various resources, discovering my first alien outpost were all fun.
